I am a classically trained graphic designer with over 15 years of professional experience in all areas of identity, print and interactive design. I have been greatly influenced and inspired by Swiss and Dutch design, in addition to the works of Armin Hofmann, Paul Rand, Saul Bass, AM Cassandre and Joseph Müller-Brockmann. During my career, I have been fortunate to have worked with a wide variety of agencies, both large and small, including Pentagram, Landor and Publicis. In addition, I ran my own successful studio in San Francisco for six years before returning to the East Coast to be closer to family. I have also worked in New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
Over the years, I have gained experience, knowledge and insight from a diverse range of clients and industries, including healthcare, financial, manufacturing and hi-tech. Clients have included Visa, Microsoft, Panasonic and Pfizer to name a few. My work has won numerous awards and has been published in several periodicals and books including 500 Designs That Link Graphic Aesthetic And Business Savvy by Steven Liska (Rockport Publishers, 2007) and LogoLounge Master Library, Volume 1: 3000 Initials & Crest Logos by Catharine M. Fishel, (Rockport Publishers, 2010). In addition, I have taught design classes at UC Berkeley Extension and guest lectured at The Ex´pression Center For New Media in Emeryville, CA.
In summary, I believe that great design comes from utilizing a solid creative process based upon collaboration and open communication. Final solutions are enhanced through experimentation, discovery and time. I believe in quality-executed design solutions that exceed a client´s expectations as well as my own.
